CP MULTITHERM is an electrical heater which is designed for convection air heating inside a box.

1. Use

Heating of boxes in potentially explosive atmospheres. Designed for:

Frost protection
Condensation protection
Vertical installation

2. Advantages

Short lead times
Vertical design allows optimal installation close to heated device in the box
The frost protection thermostat (TS) is built-in the power cable as standard
High thermal output due to special black aluminium construction

3. Description

CP MULTITHERM is an electrical heater which is designed for convection air heating inside a box.
Wherever possible, heating with temperature class T3 can be used.
The temperature limiter is built-in directly in the power cable, allowing disconnection from the power supply in the event of a technical fault or excessive heat from surrounding heat sources. The temperature limiter may only be repaired at the factory. For reasons of safety, the Heater may only operate under conditions where it is ensured that the limiting temperature of the limiter is not exceeded:

TS, TAE or TC thermostats shut off the Heater if the cabinet temperature is high
To ensure sufficient convection, minimal distances must be observed. fig. below (point 7) and at the same time it is necessary to avoid covering of the heater's ribs.

All INTERTEC explosion-proof heaters can be delivered according to American NEC standards (CSA/NRTL/FM/UL) and are available also in cheaper safe area design.

* This Heater type is also available with the TS40 protective thermostat integrated into the supply cable to keep the temperature up to 40 ° C. Ambient temperature control must be carried out using an additional TAE thermostat or TC temperature controller. (other types upon request)
