CP MICROTHERM is a variable electrical heater, which is designed for convection air heating inside a box. Microtherm is a suitable choice if the space does not allow the installation of a larger Heater model such as e.g. CP MULTITHERM.

1. Use

Heating of protection boxes in potentially explosive atmospheres, designed for:

Frost protection
Condensation protection
Vertical installation

2. Advantages

3. Description

CP MICROTHERM is a variable electrical heater, which is designed for convection air heating inside a box. Wherever possible, heating with temperature class T3 can be used.
Wherever possible, heating with temperature class T3 can be used.
The temperature limiter is built-in directly in the power cable, allowing disconnection from the power supply in the event of a technical fault or excessive heat from surrounding heat sources. The temperature limiter may only be repaired at the factory. For reasons of safety, the Heater may only operate under conditions where it is ensured that the limiting temperature of the limiter is not exceeded:

TS, TAE or TC thermostats shut off the Heater if the cabinet temperature is high
To ensure sufficient convection, minimal distances must be observed. fig. below (point 7) and at the same time it is necessary to avoid covering of the Heater's ribs.

All INTERTEC explosion-proof heaters can be delivered according to American NEC standards (CSA/NRTL/FM/UL) and are available also in cheaper safe area design.
